Alexandria Senior High School, opened in 1970, is a state of the art education facility of its time. The suburban neighborhood campus features a two story concrete masonry and glass classroom building with a 900 seat auditorium, full service cafeteria and commons. The athletic facilities include a regulation gymnasium seating 1,500, an enclosed heated natatorium, tennis courts, football/soccer playing field, all-weather track and 2,000 seat steel grandstand with air conditioned press box and field house.

The classroom plan features complete science wing, general classrooms and flexible multipurpose spaces with operable walls.

Integrated ceiling lighting and hvac systems were employed to achieve a high level of visual, acoustical and thermal comfort.
